Where is Indie Beer Feast?
Indie Beer Feast (IBF) is a two day independent beer festival in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It is held the first weekend of March (launching Sheffield Beer Week).  Our new venue for 2022 was the beautiful 1930s industrial event space of Trafalgar Warehouse, Sheffield, S1 4JT. Located near the heart of Sheffield city centre, just off Devonshire Green parkland. With the same capacity and similar facilities as our previous venue, including disabled access points and baby changing. 2024 will continue at Trafalgar Warehouse with the additional pop-up tasting room, use of outside courtyard and additional toilets in the neighbouring nightclub venue (Only Friday Session Two, Saturday Both Sessions up to 9pm).

Tickets to go online via Gigantic. However as a boutique festival, sessions can sell out. There may be limited tickets available each day for each session on the door (£15.00 - card only). Updates on numbers will be tweeted out via @IndieBeerFeast in advance. However tickets on the door are not guaranteed, especially the Saturday sessions.

What are the dates and session entry times?
2024 dates are Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd March. There are two session per day. Tickets are required to be purchased for each session you would like to attend. This is in line with venue requirements and we hope you appreciate this. You will have a wristband put on at entry to your session. This will allow you in and out of the venue. We keep the right to refuse re-entry if wristbands have been tampered with and ticket purchases cannot be proven to confirm re-entry.

What beers will be available?
The beer menu will mainly consist of keg dispensed beers of a variety of beer styles and bottles/cans. Breweries are hosting their own bars so will decide their own beer availability. There may be a number of cask ales, it is down to the brewery to decide on their beer list. The ultimate goal is for a great range of tasty beer. Any gluten free beers will be marked on individual bar's menus. Sheffield beer shop, Hop Hideout, will be showcasing international and UK breweries via their bar (draught) and have a bottle/can offering (including gluten free, no/low options, cider/Perry and soft drinks). These are available to drink in at the festival and take home (sealed). The beer menu will be published on this website closer to the event, there are no physical programmes. There will be free tap water at the merchandise/information bar stand. There is also a low-intervention wine stall.

What food will be available?
There will be hot food traders - offering meat, veggie and vegan options. To be announced on socials. Please make traders aware of your allergens/requirements before ordering.

Where are the breweries located inside the venue?
Breweries are located in the main room, in an L shape around the back walls. With more to the left of the main merchandise /information point.

Are there tokens?
No. Indie Beer Feast is a card event. There is also merchandise being sold and canned/bottled beer off sales to take home available. However with current pandemic changes, 2022/3 was card/Apple Pay/contactless payment focused. Please be aware very few bars may take cash, the majority of sales will be made by card machines within the venue, this is likely to continue into 2024.

Are children allowed?
This is an over 18 years old event, please do bring photo ID as you may be required to show this at the door. We will be employing 'Challenge 25' age for ID. Children are allowed in the morning session (session one each day) accompanied by adults, they must be under supervision at all times and may not approach the bars. No children in the second session (5.30pm to 10.30pm). You do not require a ticket for accompanying children. The venue is accessible for prams in the main room. If possible we recommend smaller prams where possible if necessary. We will be required to keep walkways clear. Thanks for working with us, as we try to make Indie Beer Feast more family friendly during the day sessions. Baby changing is located in the downstairs separate toilet, key held on the front ticket desk.

Is there seating?
There will be tables provided in a seating area in the main room for roughly 80 - individual tables with chairs, plus a number of barrels and stools in addition to more benches in the outside courtyard (in use till 9pm, this is a quiet space). Smoking and vaping is outside in the courtyard area until 9pm. After 9pm, this is out the front of the main entrance, to the side, on the pavement, please be considerate, no glasses/drinks out front.

Disabled access?
There is disabled access - flat access direct in from side exit on front of building (Trafalgar Street). Please flag to the door staff on entrance and we can accompany you to the access point. There is also a disabled access toilet on the same floor level near entrance.

Is there a cloakroom?
A cloakroom is not possible to be provided. Please be aware your bags will be checked on entrance to the festival. Please be accommodating to door staff on this. Your own soft drinks, water and hot drinks like coffee/tea are allowed in.

Where are the toilets located?
Toilets are sign posted around the venue. There is a male and female block of separate toilets just after the main entrance. There are additional toilets to the rear of the venue, accessed from the outside courtyard and into the neighbouring nightclub venue (up to 9pm). There will be a gender neutral cubicle, disabled and baby changing toilet (key on front ticket desk).

What are the main points of contact for further questions?
Please direct message us on Facebook via /indiebeerfeast or email indiebeerfeast@gmail.com
At the festival we will have an information point at the merchandise bar. This is clearly signed and located at the built bar to right after entering the main room space. If you break your festival glass, which is given at the front desk on entry and included in your ticket price, there will be more available to buy at the merchandise/information stand - 2024 is £2.50 (though limited). This covers the cost of the glass. There may be previous year's festival glasses for sale also.

Are dogs allowed?
Registered assistance dogs are welcome but unfortunately other dogs are not permitted.

Covid-19 requirements?
We will follow Government guidance if given. There will be hand santiser available on the front desk and information desk. There are also hand-washing facilities in the toilets. The main pallet bar also has a sink for glass rinsing, ask the person staffing the area.
